Miguel is from a Shipibo village outside of Pucalpa, Peru. He has been working with Ayahuasca for 40 years and at Nihue Rao for 12 as a shaman. He has dieted many master plants of the Amazon but his first diet was with Piñon Blanco, a plant full of light. He started working with ayahuasca because he wanted to help people to heal. Miguel was fascinated by the plants and their mysterious healing powers. He wanted to learn the way of Ayahuasca and the plants so he could heal the people.
